A few minutes ago I and Ma'am Janane Dela Fuente a co-worker were at a friend's house-The Penafloridas who are residing in Lahug, Cebu, City. We were the first to arrive. Then as minutes dragged by, more friends came and joined us. Pastor Agapito Jr. and his wife Ma'am Glenda Catane were among the invited guests, unfortunately, Pastor wasn't feeling well, so they didn't come. Dr. Leillanie. Lecciones and Plingpling were there and so with Ernesto Ylaya Jr., Oyen's best friend. Mariam from Mary Kay Company was present too. She is a charming and sweet lady-a good conversationalist.
While waiting for the others to come, a conversation sparked. Someone talked of the "past stuff"as a starter.
For example, somebody told us that when she was a teenager she used coconut oil as her shampoo. Then another said, she used red soil for her shampoo. And according to her she loves it because it made her hair very black, smooth and shiny. So we had a good laugh together recalling our past on hair style. Then the same person added that she used the candy "Snowbear" as her hair spray net. Isn't that weird now?Ha ha ha!
We had a short worship and then a hearty dinner followed. Every menu of the dinner was something different, I mean not necessarily the ingredients or the usual type that we eat in our in our homes--especially the way it was cooked or prepared. That's what made the preparation extra special. I love that the brown soup and yellow rice especially.
Finally, it was a real friendship dinner that was so open and healthy. A good way to renew friends' relationship. Everyone was happy and so all headed for home and left the Penaflorida family. thanks for their kindness.
